Learn About Us

Worldwide non-profit charity organization

Wakwetu Foundation is a Tanzanian non-profit organization established in 2015 with the goal of improving lives through education, healthcare, and community development. We focus on vulnerable children and marginalized communities, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to break the cycle of poverty. Our programs have reached over 10,000 beneficiaries across 5 regions in Tanzania.
Our mission is to empower underprivileged children and communities in Tanzania through sustainable development programs. We achieve this by building schools, providing scholarships, improving access to healthcare, and implementing community-based projects that create long-term solutions to poverty. We believe every child deserves quality education and a chance to succeed.
We envision a Tanzania where every child has access to quality education, healthcare, and basic needs regardless of their background. Our long-term goal is to establish a network of learning centers across the country and develop programs that address the root causes of poverty while equipping young people with skills for the future.

What We Do?

We believe that we can save more lives with you

Nutrition Programs

We provide daily meals and nutrition education to combat malnutrition among children in underserved communities, ensuring they have the energy to learn and grow.

Clean Water Projects

Our water initiatives include drilling wells, installing rainwater harvesting systems, and educating communities about water sanitation and hygiene practices.

Medical Outreach

We organize mobile clinics, vaccination campaigns, and health education programs to improve access to healthcare in remote areas of Tanzania.

Education Support

From building classrooms to providing scholarships and learning materials, we work to remove barriers to education for Tanzania's most vulnerable children.

Shelter Initiatives

We construct and renovate homes for orphans and vulnerable children, providing safe living environments that support their development and wellbeing.

Community Empowerment

Through vocational training and microfinance programs, we empower families to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty.
